Meet the Founder

Apurv Gupta

Bamboooh began with a simple belief:

The products we buy should create value not only for us, but also for the people who make them and the planet we share.

My name is Apurv Gupta, and I am the founder of Bamboooh.

For most of my professional life, I have worked in operations, solving problems, building systems, and managing teams. But beyond my career, I have always been fascinated by entrepreneurship, sustainability, and the idea of creating something meaningful from the ground up.

Over the years, I found myself increasingly concerned about two realities.

The first was the growing environmental impact of disposable products and unsustainable consumption.

The second was the gradual disappearance of traditional craftsmanship in many parts of the world.

At the same time, I saw incredible talent among artisans across India—people creating beautiful handcrafted products using skills that had been passed down through generations, yet often receiving limited recognition and opportunity.

Bamboooh was born at the intersection of these observations.

I wanted to create a brand that celebrates sustainable materials, supports artisan communities, and offers customers products with a genuine story behind them.

Why Bamboo?

When exploring materials that aligned with these values, bamboo stood out immediately.

It is one of the fastest-growing plants on Earth, naturally renewable, remarkably versatile, and deeply connected to traditional craftsmanship across India.

To me, bamboo represents something larger than a raw material.

It represents resilience, sustainability, and harmony with nature.

These values became the foundation of Bamboooh.

Supporting Artisans, Not Factories

One of the principles that guided Bamboooh from the beginning was a commitment to people.

Rather than focusing solely on mass production, we chose to work with skilled artisans who bring human creativity and craftsmanship into every piece they create.

Many of the artisans we collaborate with come from Chandrapur in Maharashtra and Agartala in Tripura, regions with rich traditions of handmade craftsmanship and bamboo artistry.

Several of our artisan partners are women and homemakers who use their skills to earn additional income and support their families.

Knowing that every purchase contributes to real livelihoods is one of the most rewarding aspects of building Bamboooh.

A Journey of Learning

Bamboooh is more than a business for me.

It is a journey of continuous learning.

I am constantly exploring new ideas, technologies, sustainable practices, and ways to create greater impact through entrepreneurship.

Like many founders, I did not start with all the answers.

What I did have was curiosity, determination, and a belief that small actions can create meaningful change over time.

Every product we create, every artisan we support, and every customer who chooses Bamboooh becomes part of that journey.

Our Vision

My vision for Bamboooh is simple:

To build a brand that proves sustainability, craftsmanship, and good design can exist together.

A brand that creates opportunities for artisans.

A brand that encourages conscious consumption.

And a brand that leaves a positive impact on both people and the planet.

Thank you for visiting Bamboooh and for supporting handcrafted products made with purpose.

I hope every Bamboooh creation brings a small piece of nature, craftsmanship, and human connection into your home.
